Deanna Garner is the Recycling Market Development Program manager for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. Deanna provides financial and technical assistance to Indiana businesses, communities, and recycling industries in order to increase waste reduction efforts, recyclable material manufacturing, and the use of recycled content products. She has an extensive background in recycling and waste reduction that spans 14 years and includes prior experience with the Porter County Recycling and Waste Reduction District, Thurston County Solid Waste, and IDEM’s Office of Land Quality. She has earned a Master’s in Communications and a certificate in Watershed Management from Purdue University, in addition to a dual degree in Geology and Dance Performance from Ball State University. Her goal is to help promote and engage the public in real action strategies to help create a more sustainable future.
