Benjamin Pedigo joined Rumpke Waste & Recycling more than 25 years ago. In his current role as corporate recycling operations coordinator, Benjamin works with Rumpke sales and operations teams to secure new business for Rumpke material recovery facilities (MRF). Pedigo also tracks open invoices created through the sales of processed materials generated at the Rumpke MRFs to resolve unpaid bills. Pedigo works with Rumpke Municipal Contracts on writing and preparing recycling bids and proposals for cities, municipalities and solid waste districts in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. Pedigo has secured 2.7 million in state and corporate grants for recycling equipment purchases at Rumpke MRFs.
Prior to joining Rumpke, Benjamin managed the Adams Brown Recycling Facility in rural southwest Ohio. He is a past president of the Association Ohio Recyclers and has been a contributing writer to Resource Recycling Magazine. Most recently, Pedigo worked with Solid Waste Districts in Ohio to help divert recyclable glass to the Rumpke Glass Plant in Dayton. He is a member of the Recycling Partnership’s MRF Working Group, bringing recycling processors together to discuss challenges facing recyclers across the US.
Benjamin earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. He resides in southern Ohio, where is an active participant in his local community.
