Allyson Mitchell is the Executive Director of the Indiana Recycling Coalition (IRC). Allyson joined the IRC in March 2018. The IRC is a statewide not-for-profit organization formed in 1989 whose mission is working together to strengthen the circular economy in Indiana through waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting.
Allyson has 13 years of professional experience in sustainability in Central Indiana. She has worked in the fields of landscape architecture, real estate development, municipal sustainability, sustainability consulting, and community development. She has a bachelor of science degree from Purdue University in Landscape Horticulture and Design, a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan, and a Juris Doctor of Law from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. Allyson has experience working from a variety of perspectives in the sustainability industry, including corporate, nonprofit, higher education and private consulting.
